About Mark Alexander

Dallas Texas Commercial Litigator

Mark Alexander’s winning strategies, trials and negotiations have been featured by major news outlets including Time, Forbes and Dallas Morning News. But those articles don’t tell why Mark is devoted to his clients. Growing up in the inner city of southwest Detroit, Mark learned tough life lessons at an early age.

Rarely did people get out of Mark’s neighborhood, so he set his sights on a career in law enforcement to protect and serve his fellow citizens. But when a knee injury prevented Mark from pursuing his law enforcement dream, he took the only other path out of the neighborhood–education. With the support of a few people who believed in him, Mark earned an undergraduate degree from Wayne State University and a JD from the Thomas M. Cooley School of Law in Michigan.

Mark has never forgotten those early years. He’s a fighter who knows the importance of loyalty, ethics, confidentiality and perseverance. Mark and his team work to decrease the stress clients often experience when working through legal matters. In order to achieve success, Mark’s team listens carefully, responds timely and communicates clearly throughout the complex litigation process.

More than Tough. Commercial disputes are surrounded by land mines and getting the outcome clients desire takes a lot more than a tough street fighter. Mark approaches each situation with a solid strategy and a great deal of finesse. No wonder courts have appointed Mark to serve as receiver, mediator and facilitator in complex litigation lawsuits. He has earned Martindale-Hubbell’s AV rating, the highest ranking available for attorneys.

Licenses and Courts. Mark is licensed to practice law in both Texas and Michigan. He holds licenses before the following courts: Supreme Court of Texas; Supreme Court of Michigan; United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth and Sixth Circuits; United States District Courts for the Northern, Southern, and Western Districts of Texas, and the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan.  In addition, he has been admitted in Federal and State Courts in other states to represent Texas clients with significant commercial litigation in those jurisdictions.

Seeing the Positive. Due to the serious nature of Mark’s work, he likes to end each conversation and meeting on a high note. Sometimes the occasion calls for a joke. If you have a favorite lawyer joke, Mark would love to hear it. How’s this one?

What do you call 25 sky diving attorneys? Skeet.
